Oh The Places We’ll Go!

Our clinic theme this month was inspired by Dr. Seuss!

Express Yourself Therapy loves to transform our clinic into new themes each month to allow creativity, learning, and experiences to happen when they walk into our door! Our themes promote experiential learning by providing real-life experiences as soon as they walk into our door allowing the children to reflect, connect, and apply what they learn to real-life situations.

Come take a look at the different activities you can do with Dr. Seuss:

Activity #1: Pin the Socks on the Fox

Activity #2: Pick a book and take the props with you.

While reading the book you can act out each page or get creative and pretend to be a character in the book!

Activity #3: Dr. Seuss Sensory Bin! Explore all of your different senses while working on fine motor skills!

Activity #4: Game Corner: Pick a Dr. Seuss game and enjoy with friends!

Some of our favorites are “I Can Do That” “Dr. Seuss Matching” “What’s in the Cat’s Hat” & “Dr. Seuss Charades”

Activity #5: Make your own green eggs & ham!

Ingredients: eggs, ham, food coloring, mini griddle!

This activity promotes independence in the kitchen and also allows kids to use their executive function skills!

Activity #6: The Pink ink drink station!

Inspired by the book: One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish

Activity #7: Color or Create your own Fish.

This activity promotes creativity within each child by creating their own idea of a fish or using Swedish fish and goldfish to create their own fish bowl.
